BANGKOK DOESN"T NEED TO BAN ITS FOOD VENDORS IN ORDER TO SAVE THE SIDEWALKS. There is a solution that allows us to have walkable sidewalks AND street vendors. The Street Vendor Hotel proposes a new street architecture that is derived from Bangkok's street culture...of mobile, transformable furniture, infrastructure, and vendor carts that can be stored in an orderly fashion when not in use ....and be opened up to host street life when night falls. The Sahm Saen Street Vendor Hostel is the reprogramming/renovation of an existing Curtain Sex Motel in the Sahm Saen area.
